Everybody knows that USA is considered to be one of the most overweight countries in the world. And I ask myself: Why us? I’m sure there’s many factors that contribute to this epidemic which include our lifestyles, work habits, and our constantly media fed culture. Well, I cant speak for the whole country but I can speak for myself, and what I can say is that for the past 3 years I’ve been slowly putting on weight. I tried to figure out what caused this but with no luck. Was it my late work hours and sitting on my butt for over 8 hours a day… lack of exercise… my wild cravings for Sushi… or all of the above? Well, at this point it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that I decided to change the way I look. So for the last few weeks I have made some major changes in my habits. Some of them include: working out 3-5 days a week. I spend 2-3 days at a Tae Kwon Do class, 1 day a week doing yoga, and try to do some weight training in between. My eating habits are a little strange so I’m not gonna get into them at this point but just to give you a small idea, this is what I had today: morning - glass of water w/Boku Superfood powder, breakfast - chocolate milk w/some granola, snack - more granola, dinner - turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread, snack - 4 strawberries and an orange. Basically I try to listen to my body and eat when I’m hungry and stop when I get the first signal of being full which means small portions. So far I lost 8 pounds and will keep you updated on the progress. Also, if you’re interested in Boku Superfood check out this website “http://www.bokusuperfood.com/wp/
So far…
